Zulu Huts at Sparrrows Village, the world’s first HIV Village

Sparrows Village is an HIV/AIDS hospice located in suburban Johannesburg. There are currently 75 adults and 225 children living in the village, which has been open for about 5 years. With the advent of affordable and accessible antiretroviral drugs, patients who in the past would have come here to die are now learning to live with HIV and AIDS.
