Almost everything comes to a dead stop in South Africa during the 4-6 week Christmas and school holidays in December and January including most of the programs operated by Christian and secular non-profit organizations alike, leaving literally nothing for children and youth to do and nowhere for them to go. Rather than SHUTTING DOWN we view this as a great time for REACHING OUT with the real reason for the season and the Good News of Christ’s love to people in underserviced and normally unreached areas. That is exactly what we intend this project to do… by showing native language (Zulu, Xhosa, and Tswana) versions of the “JESUS Film” in open air venues in remote, underserviced and normally unreached areas without access to electricity. The funds raised by this project will be used to purchase the equipment necessary to do that as well as fund our transportation expenses for a number of planned outreaches.

The alleged perpetrator who sexually assaulted one of the young girls we have been ministering to for over 4 years has been arrested in South Africa. Please join us in prayers of thanksgiving for that and be lifting up prayers for justice, his salvation and continued healing, peace, strength and comfort for the victim.

We’re lifting up prayers of thanksgiving to Jesus for the wisdom, guidance and provision He has granted us thus far in this ministry and ask that He continue to guide and provide for the needs of His children in Africa as we move into new calendar and school years of ministry.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

For the health and hearts of the children, youth, adults and families Christ has called us to minister to in South Africa;

For Christ to reveal the location of the property He would have us establish a teaching/training/resource center;

For short-term (6-12 month) housing (house, apartment or flat) while the the location of the teaching/training/resource center is determined;

For short-term mission teams to serve alongside us next summer and be the hands and feet of Christ to a hurting world;

For Christ to raise and equip a long-term volunteer couple or family to co-labor with us in the field for a minimum of 1 year;

For Christ to raise up and equip local South African leaders to work alongside us;

For wisdom and guidance as we continue to seek Christ’s direction in our lives and in the ministry He has called us to
