As you may know, we recently opened a preschool in Ikageng, a township just outside of Potchefstroom, South Africa. The name of the school is called ‘Naledi Christian Preschool. The word ‘naledi’ means ‘star’ in Tswana language. Through attending our school, our hope is that each child will learn and grow in the light of Christ, thus shining as a bright star amongst the dark and sinful world around them.

We are in need of individuals/groups to sponsor a child to attend preschool and ask you to prayerfully consider helping a star to shine in South Africa in this way. Parents/Guardians of the preschool children that can afford pay a small fee of R100 (about $12 USD) per month. While we are excited to see families contribute to their child’s school fee, this covers only a portion of our monthly cost for food, electricity, water staff salaries and supplies.  This is why we are asking you to help change the future of these children by sponsoring one or more of them for $25 per month. If you’d like to do so, just click on the “Donate Now” button  (top right, above) and register for a recurring monthly donation of $25 designated to “Sponsor a Child or Family”.

If you cannot sponsor a child in whole, would you consider asking your entire school staff, Sunday School class, your family or other community/church group to make the sponsorship a joint project? Once we receive notice that you have signed up to sponsor a child we will assign a child to you, provide a photo, and give you information about the child (birthdate, family members, etc.) and tell you how you can be praying for him/her.
