In case you haven’t seen or read on Facebook or Twitter yet, thanks to our faithful supporters and generous donors our “Keep Our Wheels Turning” project raised a total of $2,430 and received 5,951 votes in the 2012 Giving of Life Projects season, which earned us a 2nd place finish by funds raised and 3rd place finish by votes! Because we finished in the top 50, our friends at Giving of Life added another $1,000 to the $2,430 donated for a total of $3,430 which will “Keep Our Wheels Turning” in Africa for over 9 months! To protect the privacy of the people who vote and donate in their campaigns, Giving of Life does not share any personal information of the people who supported our project with us, something we understand and support, so to all of you who did from all of us at TentMaker Ministries and all the people we serve and minister to in Africa, please accept this heartfelt “Thank you” and “God bless you”.
Now with the holiday season and year end quickly approaching we are busy preparing for the start of new calendar and school years in South Africa, sourcing, studying and preparing lesson plans and materials for a full year of teaching the Good News of Christ’s love for all His children.
We’ve also been praying for wisdom, guidance and provision regarding the purchase of a piece of property in South Africa for us to establish a permanent teaching, training and resource center from which we can equip local people to realize their value to Christ and share that knowledge with others. We’re anticipating some big opportunities and challenges as this vision takes shape and becomes a reality. Stay tuned for some exciting announcements and how you can help make the vision a reality by participating in Giving of Life’s new “Hope for the Holidays” campaign!
