Hello, my name is Dineo!  I am 20-years old and I grew up in Gauteng Soweto.  I am currently living with Papa Bill and Mama Susan.

I met Papa Bill and Mama Susan in 2008 September in Freedom Park at a Bible study and feeding program and ever since they have stayed in contact with me and they have helped me through my trials and tribulations and now I am staying with them and Mama Su employed me as an assistant teacher at Naledi Christian Preschool.

At first I had doubts about coming to Potchefstroom and working for people that always help me.  I thought that maybe it is because I am not strong enough to be own my own, but at the same time it is what I always dreamed about (relocating) and having my own room and things.  I am happy.

I enjoy working at the preschool, but sometimes those kids drive me mad!  The first week I met them I felt like I could take a taxi back home.  But I realized that I miss them more than my homeland when they are not around.  I’ve learned to accept that they are just kids and they do not develop in the same way and speed.

I thank God for this opportunity because I know I can share His love with the kids.  Thank God for the fast development and change that I have experienced with the kids as we teach them to be the light in their community.

I would love to thank everyone who has supported me with their prayers.  I am sure God heard all of them coz I’m stronger.  And I thank everyone who has supported me financially.  I was able to pay for my transport and that has helped me feel safe.  Thank you for showing me your love and care.  It means a lot knowing that a person who does not know me cares about me.  Thank you!

In other News…

We are still in need of sponsors ($25 per month) for at least 10 children at the preschool… if you’d like to sponsor a child just click on the “Donate Now” button at the top right of the page and sign up for a $25 monthly recurring donation designated to “Sponsor a child/family”.

We are continuing to negotiate for a long-term lease of the 1.8ha (4.5 acre) property which the preschool is located on and we are also currently residing. We are also involved in discussions with the owner of the adjacent .8ha (2 acre) plot concerning a potential long-term lease there. Please keep those negotiations and discussions in your prayers.

We’re excited to have two volunteers fundraising to be able to co-labor with us in the field in April and June/July. If you’d like to support their efforts you will find their names listed under “Sponsor One of Our Missionaries” on our donation page.

Please continue to pray for us, our safety, provision for the preschool, and that God will continue to work through all of us! Also please pray for quick and favorable processing by the South African government of our visa extension requests.
