Guess what arrived…?

Yep, you guessed it… the Cargo of Dreams and Project Cargo: Summit to South Africa cargo container! After several delays at sea and in port, the container arrived via truck from Durban last Friday and was offloaded onto it’s footings at it new permanent home in Ikageng where it will become one end wall of a 2,000 sq. ft. teaching, training and resource center. We’ve been delaying the release of this update for it’s arrival, and praise God, it’s here! We’re now busy unpacking it and soon hope to have the cement floor poured, roof and non-load bearing walls constructed. It will be a push to have it completed by our target date of November 30, but with God all things are possible!

Here’s a link to a short video of the container traveling through Ikageng on it’s way to the property Christ blessed us with.

And here’s another of the Naledi Christian Preschool students and staff celebrating it’s arrival.

More photos and videos are being uploaded daily on our Facebook page.

We now have just one day (today) to match a $3,000 gift which has been given to finish up some smaller projects around but not directly part of the building through our friends at Giving of Life Grant. As of the time of this writing we have raised $325 towards the $3,000 goal, so if you’d like to help us meet that goal please click here NOW to donate from $5 to $200 towards what will be our final campaign for this project if me meet our goal.

We’re Still Praying….

Today we’re happy to report that we are thanking Jesus for providing a new foster parent for the three brothers in House 1 who lost their foster mother five months ago! The three brothers have been placed under the care of a father who is now residing on the property with two of the boys. The eldest, aged 16, had decided to leave the property prior to the appointment of the foster father, so please join us in praying for his safety and that he will return to stay with his brothers on the property under the care of the foster father.

We’re also thanking God for the servant hearts of Taylor, a young woman who has completed two of a planned five weeks with us to assist with the ministry here,  as well as Bonnie, Linda and Joan who will be coming from Illinois soon to stay with us for 13 days and Stefana from Colorado who will be joining us in November for eight days. Please cover them and their travels in prayer as they take a step of faith to be a blessing to the people here and that Christ will do a work in and through them in response to their obedience to His call.

We’re recently also held Voluntary HIV/AIDS Counseling and Testing for our preschool staff and were blessed to have all our employees and one of their spouses come to be tested. This opens the door for additional HIV/AIDS and TB testing for the children enrolled in the preschool as well as their parents and siblings and the community at large.

We’re still praying for the Lord to raise up local and international volunteers and staff to assist in the field, particularly a family or couple to commit to at least three months of service beginning in November. Search your heart and listen for the Lord’s still small voice and if that’s you please let us know!

Please join us in these prayers.
